Special materials

Alongside the classic materials of plastic, wood, leather and aluminium, the NBHX Trim GmbH has many years of experience with special materials, especially carbon, fibreglass and piano varnish.

Carbon and fibreglass embody a sporty feeling and, indeed, have their origins in motor racing. Carbon is actually a carbon fibre fabric with a typical colour between black and anthracite. The carbon is sealed with a coat of high-gloss clear paint. Under this, the fabric develops a deep, shimmering effect with an iridescent interplay created by the use of fibres in different directions. Fibreglass is also used as a fabric. It is
coated with metallic nano-particle coatings and can be used to great effect in practically every metallic shade.

Piano varnish expresses a timeless elegance. In piano varnish, a layer of colour, generally black, is covered with a high-gloss coat of
transparent varnish. This varnish creates a feeling of depth, making the colour look mysterious and sophisticated.

In addition to using these special materials, the NBHX Trim GmbH is always ready to face the challenge of new fabrics. Innovations are
developed in-house and in cooperation with customers' own design departments until they meet the set aesthetic and technical requirements.
The NBHX Trim GmbH has been awarded a number of design prizes for its innovations in the area of textiles under varnish.
