A car interior contains a large number of injection moulded plastic parts. The manufacture of visible parts, especially those with large surface areas, is very demanding, and is a speciality of the NBHX Trim GmbH. An injection moulding unit, with 33 machines and several painting lines, is available for this work. A range of different surfaces created using different structures and painting systems adds a touch of style and luxury to interiors.

The NBHX Trim GmbH produces components for many different parts of the car interior. One area is decorative parts, which are painted or finished with film insert moulding. With film insert moulding, all sorts of different textures and patterns can be added to a part, creating almost inexhaustible design possibilities.

In addition to decorative parts, the NBHX Trim GmbH also manufactures functional parts, such as storage shelves, using multi-component
injection moulding.To give these a very high-quality character, various plastics with different degrees of softness and surface characteristics
are integrated in one part. Another example of multi-component injection moulding is out-of-tool parts with articulated hinges..

For the luggage area, finely grained components with matt-painted surfaces are created. The NBHX Trim GmbH is particularly skilled in the production of flawless, even surfaces, which are essential for very large parts such as side linings with integrated functional parts such as air grilles. The internal gas pressure process is used for thick-walled parts without shrink marks.

The manufacture of large, high-gloss painted components is also one of our skills. The quality of these very sensitive components is achieved through the comprehensive control of the entire process. The layout of the component design, injection moulding based on particular parameters and the use of state-of-the-art painting lines with power-wash systems and painting robots in clean rooms all guarantee high-gloss surfaces of the highest possible quality. This means that metallic colours can be used in many different ways on injection moulded parts.
